Brand Analytics conducted an annual traditional survey of the audience of social networks in Russia. More than 2.5 billion messages were analyzed in October 2021 from more than 298 million accounts. The company also drew interesting conclusions using data on trends in Russian-language social media of the current year.

In 2021, the rapid growth of this sector in Russia continued – the number of active authors increased from 49 million to 64 million. During the month under review, they published over 1.2 billion public messages (posts, reposts and comments).

It is curious that in terms of the volume of published content, the balance of power remained approximately the same as in 2021. The largest amount of content is still published on VKontakte. Interestingly, in terms of the number of messages, TikTok managed to outstrip YouTube and take 6th place.
