Microsoft Confirms Network and Start Menu Tile Issues in Windows 10
Microsoft has admitted to having two issues with Windows 10, according to online sources. We are talking about problems with the Internet connection and displaying tiles in the Start menu. Bug fixes are already underway.
The first reports of problems with the Internet connection appeared back in May, when the distribution of the Windows 10 May 2021 Update began. It is still not entirely clear what is causing the crashes, but it is assumed that they are related to the work of the network connection state identifier.
The fact is that the Internet connection is not broken, but due to the incorrect operation of the identifier, a message is displayed to the user that there is no connection. This causes some applications, such as the Microsoft Store or Spotify, that use the system’s network connection data, to stop working correctly. The problem was not widespread, so the developers did not recognize its existence for a long time. Its solution is expected to be included in the next security update, which will be released this month as part of the Patch Tuesday program.
In addition, Microsoft has acknowledged a bug that in some cases prevents the Start menu from working properly. In this case, the Start menu tiles are constantly being updated and do not display any information. When exactly the developers will fix this error is unknown, but, according to the source, it was solved in one of the recently released preview builds of Windows 10, which is currently being tested by members of the Insider program.
